Would Jesus favor government coercion to force people to supply goods and services for the poor?

No, not at all. The system we had was far better than having the government take over. The government wants to be our God now, or I should say the extreme left wants government to be the God of the people while they take our God out of everything. They cannot take the Holy Spirit out of our hearts.
