Hi, I am concerned about my mother. She is 53, I am 23, and I have a 17 year old sister. About 7 years ago my mom had a brain aneurysm which almost killed her. After months of surgeries, time in the ICU, and rehabilitation she was able to get back on her feet for the most part, even though she's never really been the same. Sadly, over the past 6 months or so, my mom's health has seriously deteriorated. She had a small stroke that went undetected for awhile, and has since lost her job due to inability to perform. She is barely able to function in the sense that she can't get herself to do anything, feels physically ill often, and has erratic behaviors and emotions. She can't seem to even get herself to the doctor on her own as she lacks any organizational skills or motivation anymore, and also has trouble communicating effectively. My mother is divorced and any extended family we have lives on the East Coast. I am completely at a loss as to what to do to help her anymore as the problem has become bigger than I or my sister can handle on her own. Where should I go for help? I don't think my mom can survive much longer like this...physically, financially, or mentally. I am in Orange County, California. Does anyone know of any free programs that could help her or any suggestions as to who could provide her with some guidance? I don't even know where to begin, and she's barely able to take care of herself anymore. If anyone has been in a similar situation or has experience with this, any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hey! This actually looks like a good stall / burn deck. A few suggestions I would like to give are to replace the solar flare dragons with volcanic slicers. Both deal 500dmg per turn, but you dont need to wait til the end with Volcanic, also it has a pretty nice 1800 atk, so he will be more difficult to kill. You should know though that Ring of Destruction is banned now. A pretty good replacement might be Nightmare Wheel. Also you may want to add Raging Flame Sprite(s) they can deal a lot of direct damage. You could also consider adding Chaos Burst, to destroy an opp monster while simultaneously dealing 1000 life points damage.

You could try using the gentle halter collars. I used to use it on my lab/shepard because he was aggressive toward other dogs after one in our neighborhood jumped him. Prong collars would well but you NEED to know how they work and how to use them properly. If you are wanting to walk all nine dogs together, then I would see which ones can to walked closely together. I have never used the multple dog walker leads so I don't know how well they would work. I would figure that having seperate leads would be easier because you can shorten up on one dog and not the others.

Okay firstly I presume this is the design you went to your artist with. He will have traced it, transfered it and tattooed it, right? So people are wrong when they say your artist could have done a better job. There are no blow outs, the lines look steady. He did what you wanted. Staph infection, sinus infection, boil, nodule??? PLEASE help!?

Long story short: I was on an extremely high dose of 3 different steroids about 20 days ago. Since then I've had hormonal problems to say the least, one of which is mild acne. I had a bump on the side of my nose, which I thought was a pimple, so I squeezed it. A small amount of pus did come out, but the next morning (and each sucessive morning thereafter) it has been worse, more swollen, and extremely sore. It feels hard (a lump the size of a pea), and then "squishy" for about a 1 inch diameter around it. It's red and extremely sore. Also, that side of my nose is stuffy and I have an awful headache, as well as a low fever and a sore throat. That being said, I get CHRONIC sinus infections and I don't know if all these symtoms are just coinciding with a weird pimply-thing. Could a severe sinus infection cause this type of infection in your skin too? Or does it sound like staph? I'm going to the doctors later today but it's really painful and I'd appreciate any help! Bring a sandwich from home. It only takes a few minutes to put some kind of a spread on some bread and bring it to work ie peanut er, jam etc. If you have a bit more time to spare you could make a ham and cheese or tomato and cheese sandwich or some thing a little bit fancy is smoked salmon and cream cheese. Just make sure you keep it cold ie with an ice pack if your using any kind of meat. You could also make your sandwiches in advance and put them in the freezer as you come to work ie make them on the weekend then freeze.

What could I do to make me happier?

I am doing online schooling and am on grounding for being expelled, I am not looking for any sympathy, I know what I have done wrong, and I refuse to believe I am depressed or anything. But I am not allowed to have any pets (Trust me I have tried.) or see my friends (Tried that too.) So is there anything I could get to have with me in my room to lighten the mood, make me feel a little happier? I wanted to get a delicate little plant of some sort like a flower because they are pretty and they need you to nurture them but they get bigger and bigger and if not, die. That wouldn't lighten my mood at all. Bamboo isn't comforting and neither are just regular shrubs. I am tired of crying and feeling like this. Please, Ideas? To help these long months ahead? Thnx.

Some people do get discourage from saying what's on there mind, but I NEVER get discouraged I always speak my mind regardless of anything. People will always have there own opinions on certain matters and won't always agree with other, so people should be able to have there own say.

I thought these two were the same thing....I don't think you can get your dad to change,he'll do what he wants to do.And it's hard to give up drinking if it's not really interfeering with day to day life much.It's not healthy to drink this much though,you're right about that,it's bad for the liver.I don't think there's a whole lot you can do here except for accepting him the way he is,especially if your mom is ok with it.Some people actually drink their whole life like this and they're fine...Or maybe he's dependent on the people he drinks with at the pub? maybe if the had some other place to hang out and socialize with his buddies he wouldn't even need to drink.But who knows.

it's definitely interesting. i'm not exactly sure what Fork is. As an excerpt it seems fine. As a story, i feel like there is important stuff missing (what is the artifact, what/who is fork) I personally like a lot of descriptions so maybe a little bit more in the tunnel (it has a fast pace so too much description could also slow it down a lot, which may very well be a negative thing) lastly, if it's underground, how can low branches hit him? i like the roots hitting him though. I thought that was creative. Overall it's not too shabby.

Why is it that people can remember the song lyrics to every song on their Ipod but they can't remember important things like their homework ignments or where they took their shoes off? That sounds really good. I think your chances are great of getting into any of those colleges, especially because they're not private schools. General opinions: Does it work out having BEST friends that are of the opposite ?

I'm a girl and I find that some of my best friends are guys. I have more girl friends than guy friends, but I find that I actually share more with the guys and share more readily than with my girlfriends. I think it has to do with having a sounding board that can view things from a different perspective than me because of his gender. Sometimes i feel with my girlfriends that if i share anything, they'll give me the same cookie cutter responses that i would give and do give to them when they share with me. But guys are different, and they also tend to be more painfully honest, which is really what us girls need. With several of my guy friends, there was at least some level of attraction at the beginning that was not equally reciprocated by one or the other, but in my experience these relationships will either grow into dating or settle back comfortably into the style of best friend relationships.

Good question and in some circles with me the answer is yes. Some conversations deteriorate because one side usually knows more about the topic than the other. With some people who are experts in their field and I have only a surface knowledge of their expertise then the conversation whittles away. That is what happens to Christians, the source of their faith is the Bible and when you get into deep conversations with other denominations, other religions, atheists, etc. and you do not have a good understanding of God's word then the banter/debate deteriorates quickly.

So, I have some sort of virus that has disabled me (on Internet Explorer) from using the address bar (when I type something out and press enter it gives me a message saying "The requested lookup key was not found in any active activation context") and I can't even type anything onto my homepage (Google). The same typing problem comes up when I try to message someone on AIM but not MSN. Also, Firefox has gotten very slow, often becoming nonresponsive for a minute or two and when I try to delete certain files it says "Cannot delete -file name-: Access is denied. Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is not currently in use." My question is, is there anything I can do aside from reformatting? I ran Ad-Aware, AVG 8 and Avast (which my friend recommended) and while they have found problematic files, I can't do anything with them. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

When it starts to get dark, I start to get nervous. I check the doors and windows to make sure they're locked repeatedly, I make sure the outside lights are on and I have to know exactly where my husbands glock is (I even have an alarm set to remind me to get it from him-please no gun lectures; Its very well hidden). If I hear even the smallest noise outside my heart starts pounding and I sometimes start sweating. Numerous times I have made my husband come home early and keep him on the phone the whole way bc I can't calm down over something I heard outside. When I know it's time to get my son ready for bed. I get even more nervous and get impatient with him bc I want him to be quiet, like someone will hear him? Recently, I've been asking my husband to sleep in his room bc it makes me feel like he's safer and if my husband goes to bed first, I'll get my son in bed then try to wake my husband up to sleep with him (which he doesn't think is nesessary) so it usually causes an argument. I know I could sleep with him but I feel like I'll cause something to happen. So, after he's finally in bed I will start to clean up and by then (if my husband isnt with him) my heart is pounding and I'm in a nervous sweat thinking about leaving him in his room, bc it's on the other end of the house. I've even considered moving my husband and I out of our big bedroom and into the small bdrm next to his so I can be near him at night (but I can't sleep with him?) Any noise after dark, inside or out (wind, the train, cars especially) freak me out so bad that (this is so pathetic) I've taught my son that he cannot, for any reason, open the door bc there is a monster outside. (I'm sorry) If I think someone is coming over I get nervous and I'll hide out with my son in the back bdrm. Windows freak me out. �

Maybe he needs some attention from you. He might be going through that confused stage of puberty when you feel like "Nobody understands me". Everyone goes through it, his may need some extra work. Just try talking to him. Is his father around? Maybe he can talk to him. Do you spend more time with your daughter then you spend with him? Does he have friends at school that treat him right? These are the questions that you need to find out. This could be normal tween behavior, OR it could be something else.

I am beginning to think this is appendicitis, the more I look this up and do symptom checker. I do a very detailed checker on webmd. After I type this I am going to the (oh lord) ER. My son is 8 months old, and just started scooting around today. He lays on his tummy, and pushes himself forward with his feet, and pulls with his hands. However, he only pushes with one foot. Why do women get jealous when their men look at other women?

The odd thing is, I like women too. But I get jealous when my man looks at naked mags, and checks out other hot chicks. Is it purely an insecurity problem that causes jealousy? 00 Honda Civic Makes squeaky noises when stepping on the gas.?

My 2000 Honda civic seems to be making a weird hissing/gargling sound every time I give it gas. It tends to make a squeaky hissing sound when I start it up in the morning and as I stop and go on the road it makes a gargling sound when I step on the gas. Note it doesn't make any noise if I floor it or apply alot of pressure to the pedal or if i am driving over about 45 miles per hr. Any suggestions??

Can't reference other worksheet for Data Validation in Excel - Plz Help!?

I created a workbook with several worksheets. I created one worksheet called "Validation". On that sheet, I created lists that I want to use on another worksheet. I named those lists properly in the "Name Box" (ie. ValidCauses, ValidSupervisors, etc.). I then created a Data Validation list on another sheet. I selected "List" and typed "=ValidCauses", etc (without the quotes). Everything worked great. I copied this as a template to another computer for others to start using it. It worked great for a few days. Today I find that the list no longer drops down and when I try to link to my list on "Validation" I get an error, "You may not use references to other worksheets..." I only get this problem in that work sheet. I can link just fine on other worksheets. My original file still works fine. I'm trying to figure out what they did to stop the Data Validation on that one worksheet. I know I can fix it by copying the data, but I'd like to figure out what caused it.

Could my 8 year old really have cancer?

About 3 weeks ago, my son came to me with a lump on his neck. By the next day it was four. One had grown to one cm. The others pearl size. They did not hurt and were fixed. I noticed he was sweating alot at night and had a fever(low grade)for a few days, then not for a few days. The pediatr. had blood work done and his sedrate was ellevated. He also itches alot, especially at night. We scheduled a biopsy, but had bloodwork again and his sedrate went down. His alp was very high 200 and something. The dr. said in kids this is normal. So, we cancelled the surgery and decided to wait and check blood again in a month. well, that was a week ago and his fevers came back wednesday night. He is still having drenching night sweats and itching.,His stomache is very bloated but she says he is constipated. She is concerned agin because he is still having all this with no apparent reason. No sore throat, ear infection..ect! Could he really have lymphoma when all the blood work said he was fine. I am not trying to freak again and just be patient, but I am worried. We are going to do biopsy now, but I am once again waiting for that appointment. What do you think. Anyone been through this? Are these the symptoms? He has lost 6 pounds in 3 weeks, but eats pretty good, most of the time. thanks

hey - yes, i ahev been on and off suboxone for about 3 years i think... your husband is wrong about the sddiction process - you can become addicted just by beiong on pain pills for a long time, the difference is the reason for the addiction, your addiction, and also in my addiction case (11 surgeries in 5 years, painful undiagnosed crohns disease) leads to a chemical addiction, you dont want to be hooked or take them, but your body needs them now.. everyone else who uses recreationally is dependent because they wanted to get that way, sort of.. thing is, suboxone wont work on pain, really, and you cant take pain meds while on it - if you haev a serious issue, you can go to the er and they can give you enough pain meds to override the suboxone safely, but you cant do this at home... the med in suboxone is buprenophine, which i think might be a component of morphine, so if you're allergic, this may not work for you, but im not positive so you will have to ask a pharmacist or your doc... this is a wonderful drug however, because the symptoms you have are the same i get, feeling like my heart is racing and the only thing on my mind is my meds... it makes this feeling go away completely because the beuprenorphine is a long acting narcotic, but there is another drug that they add for the bad users, that will make you go into the worst withdrawl ever if you inject something... anyway, you only have to take the med once a day cause it lasts 24 hours and you slowly decrease your dose... the withdrawl effects are much less serious and much easier to get through.. the longer you're on it though, the harder to come off... i was on it for about a year before coming off, then had to go get another surgery, took two years this time... hope you have insurance though, its terribly expensive and hard to find a doc who can perscribe it... they are few and far between.. i would see a pain specialist if i were you.. i see no big deal in taking narcotics to live a normal life if you truly have legitimate pain.. problem is, they dont work as well after being on them for a while... email me if you want to continue to chat

Like we all know (Someone should tell Obama this) that Disabled and Combat Wounded Soldiers can take part in the VA's Vocational Rehabilitation program, which is just like the New GI Bill that Congress is trying to p. I feel that if you give more than 3 or 4 years of your life to your Country you should be entitled to more benefits...One Enlistment Soldiers should be allowed to use the GI Bill as is, and Career Soldiers get the enhanced version...am I alone? tell me what you think....

I must have a surgical abortion and I am terrified. I will be awake, anyone with experience willing share?

First let me say this is not something I want. I have had numerous female health issues and recently found out I have ovarian cancer. I am having an abortion with the advice from 2 different doctors. They have ured me it is literally a life or death situation. If I abort this baby, I might live to become a cancer survivor and could eventually conceive and carry a baby to term in a few years. But for now, I must have an abortion. I am about 5 weeks, but will be 6 weeks by the time I have the abortion. I am so scared. I have to stay awake because of other medications I am on now, so even twilight sleep is out of the question. They told me I would get a shot in my uterus to numb it. Does this shot hurt? It seems like it would be extremely painful. Then they will suction me. Does that hurt? They told me the procedure would last roughly 10 minutes. I am so scared, I don't know what to think. I am horrified at the thought of having to be awake during this. If anyone has any experience they would like to share with me, I would greatly appreciate it. For those of you who are just going to put me down about this, don't waste your time. I already feel bad enough. I have been crying for the past 5 days, since I found out. I am begging God for forgiveness and plan to start counseling next week as well. Thank you for any and all help you may be able to provide me.

Getting a few things sorted out - Age 21+ Plz?

So I am 23 years old finishing my undergrad in December, and starting my masters in September. I am sure you have all had plans about your life before. There are some things I want to get sorted out, that I would like to improve about myself, I have been but I still am not entirely happy with myself. So I am taking 5-6 months of for just backpacking, and just to focus on self improvement for just these things, they mostly include not letting go more, interacting with people, social life, and some trust issues. Travelling is one of my favourite ptimes. But I thought at this point I would have been in a stable long term relationship, and would be travelling with her. But that has not happened at all! Now I am not sure if I should travel to India for 5 months, or India - 5 and Nepal for an extra month. But then I will come back in July and have 8 weeks for the summer here. Or should I come back in June and have a full summer 12 weeks here. I want to have a memorable experience, but I would also like to have a chance to make some new friends locally next summer, try to find a girl, both which I do need and make some money. I need a car expert?

Ok, Ive had a knocking noise coming from my car for a little while now....it is definetely coming from one of the front tires. when I got home the other day, my front left caliper was smoking and the rotor was red hot. so, i figured it was the rotor, because the noise would stop coming from my car once I hit the brakes. I figured the caliper was not opening and just grinding against the rotor which made it smoke. So, I bought a new caliper, my dad bled the brakes and put it on. now, the noise is still there, and the brakes will not work. there is plenty of brake fluid in there, and no leaks in the brake line. im thinking it might just be air in the brake lines but i dont know....also the service engine soon light is on. Now, Im thinking it might be the caliper on the other side. maybe that caliper is not opening, and the left one was having to work twice as hard to stop the car, causing it to smoke (and smell). my car is a 99 V6 Mustang. Someone please help!!!

Very small crossbody purse?

I have seen these out there...I know they exist, but I can't find where to buy one. I want a teensy tiny purse with a long strap I can wear over my shoulder and across my chest for when I go places that I don't want to keep up with a purse, but need those few essential items. I have seen small crossbody style purses, but they're are not like I want and are usually still too big. The ones I've seen and want are very VERY small. You can literally fit your cell phone, keys, a credit card or some cash and maybe a lipgloss, but nothing else. So like 6" X 6" or even smaller, like a wristlet. The ones I've seen are made of cloth, not leather, They are usually colorful and bohemian looking. Basically, when you have this on your shoulder you would barely notice it's there.
