Our friends don't like the idea of "us"... they're telling us to quit talking to each other?

The only one who can make a decision in the field of love and relationships is you two. If your friends are really your friends they'll want you two too be happy and step aside. Never let anyone tell you who to love/date and who not too. No one else knows whats in you two's hearts.
