What do you think about my tattoo?(pic)?
Okay firstly I presume this is the design you went to your artist with. He will have traced it, transfered it and tattooed it, right? So people are wrong when they say your artist could have done a better job. There are no blow outs, the lines look steady. He did what you wanted. And not everybody wants some fancy flourishy design, and that's fine. It's a simple concept, with a simple design, and that's nice in a way. Were you inspired by Angelina Jolie? I love most of her tattoos. And if you look at her coordinates tattoo - they are simple, thin-lined figures too. Like handwriting. And what's wrong with that? Presumably she will have gone to a very good tattoo artist, it's not like she cannot afford it - but it's what she wanted, and a good tattoo artist will give you that. So if it's what you wanted then you should be proud of it and not worry what other people think. But be warned that when you ask for opinions, people are going to be honest - I'm glad you don't care, you do need thick skin to wear any tattoo as there's always judgement involved - but just don't be surprised by people's honesty. Not everybody understands the concept of having a tattoo purely for the meaning and not for the design. I have a tattoo of a note my mum wrote to me before she died, in her exact handwriting - wobbly lines and all - and out of all my immaculate looking tattoos, that is the one I am most proud of.
