Wireless network still active? Belkin54g?

I set up my wireless internet connection today and encrypted it using wpa2. The encrypted network is transmitting correctly but the original unsecured connection is also avaliable. What could cause this issue and how can it be resolved. I used 192.168.2.1 to manually configure the connection and encrytpion. How can I rid of the unsecure connection?
