Why is Dirk Nowitzki not being recognized?

Is it maybe just the team hat he is playing with or what? Ron Artest, Amare Stoudemire, Tim Duncan, and Carmelo are all leading Dirk in the all-star game voting. Obviously, Dirk is the best among them. People only like Amare cause he can dunk like 2 times a game. People like Duncan because he scores like 10 PPG. Ron Artest has anger issues, and Carmelo I guess is okay. But Dirk is averaging about 25 PPG. BTW, I am a huge Mavs fan.
