Can a single teen mom get more help than one who got married?
I am 17 and almost 6 months pregnant. Me and my fiance live in an old farm house that could fall threw any minute, and we need to get out of here.I currently receive a social security check of 900 a month (which I will lose in 7 months due to my age or if I get married or if I moved out of my grandma's house).but barley have any money left to rent a place to live, or buy a house. We have 3 cats and 1 dog, so we couldn't get an apartment (none around here allow pets). We pay for food, electric, phone, oil, gas for the car, and the car insurance. He currently doesn't have a job, as nowhere around here is hiring at the moment. Long story short, I want to know if I'd receive more help being single or married? Also does anyone know of anything we could qualify for? Right now we're both on medicaid, and receiving food stamps along with WIC.
