Questions about SUBOXONE?

hey - yes, i ahev been on and off suboxone for about 3 years i think... your husband is wrong about the sddiction process - you can become addicted just by beiong on pain pills for a long time, the difference is the reason for the addiction, your addiction, and also in my addiction case (11 surgeries in 5 years, painful undiagnosed crohns disease) leads to a chemical addiction, you dont want to be hooked or take them, but your body needs them now.. everyone else who uses recreationally is dependent because they wanted to get that way, sort of.. thing is, suboxone wont work on pain, really, and you cant take pain meds while on it - if you haev a serious issue, you can go to the er and they can give you enough pain meds to override the suboxone safely, but you cant do this at home... the med in suboxone is buprenophine, which i think might be a component of morphine, so if you're allergic, this may not work for you, but im not positive so you will have to ask a pharmacist or your doc... this is a wonderful drug however, because the symptoms you have are the same i get, feeling like my heart is racing and the only thing on my mind is my meds... it makes this feeling go away completely because the beuprenorphine is a long acting narcotic, but there is another drug that they add for the bad users, that will make you go into the worst withdrawl ever if you inject something... anyway, you only have to take the med once a day cause it lasts 24 hours and you slowly decrease your dose... the withdrawl effects are much less serious and much easier to get through.. the longer you're on it though, the harder to come off... i was on it for about a year before coming off, then had to go get another surgery, took two years this time... hope you have insurance though, its terribly expensive and hard to find a doc who can perscribe it... they are few and far between.. i would see a pain specialist if i were you.. i see no big deal in taking narcotics to live a normal life if you truly have legitimate pain.. problem is, they dont work as well after being on them for a while... email me if you want to continue to chat
